Nurture Teacher – SEN
Location: Effingham, Surrey
Salary: £34,398 - £48,913 per year (M1 - UPS1 Fringe)** Plus £5,000 Welcome bonus For Qualified Teacher*
Hours: 40 hours per week - - Start time 8.15am - Finish time Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday 4.45pm. Thursday 5pm and Friday 4pm

Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students’ educational, physical, and social needs, using short, medium, and long-term planning.
- Collaboration: Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to meetings and maintaining effective communication with staff and leadership.
- Student Progress: Set, monitor, and review personalised learning targets; assess and report on student progress to stakeholders.
- Planning & Reflection: Develop and evaluate lesson plans, incorporating self-reflection and curriculum developments.
- Student Support: Contribute to EHC plans, PEPs, and LAC reviews; manage behaviour positively in line with school policy.
- Professional Practice: Stay informed on autism and inclusive education to enhance teaching effectiveness.

What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience in special school settings, particularly with pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Proven ability to deliver a differentiated curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum
- Working understanding of ASC and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including complex presentations
Desirable:
- Specialism in Science
- Additional qualifications in SEND
- Experience in curriculum development for learners with SEND, especially those with autism
- Understanding of co-occurring conditions associated with autism and their impact on learning
