Homefield Church of England Primary and Nursery School is a wonderful school situated in the village of Bradwell. It is an exciting time for Homefield, as we prepare to move into our brand new school building. At the end of the academic year 2026/2027 we will be moving to a purpose built new school, expanding over time to have up to 420 pupils. This position is initially a maternity cover contract but the growth of the new school building could offer further opportunities.
We are looking to appoint an Office Administrative Assistant, this role would suit an applicant with prior school admin experience but also an individual with an excellent background in admin seeking their first school-based role. Hours of work, 30 hours per week, 8am – 3pm, Monday to Friday.
You will need to be a motivated individual with assured skills in admin and IT. The administrative assistant is responsible for supporting the administrative, financial and organisational processes within the school. They will also act as the initial point of contact for parents/carers, visitors and other stakeholders, so will be an ambassador for the school and embody the value, vision and ethos of the school in all interactions.
We are seeking a friendly, flexible and organised person to work in our school office. This role is demanding and requires time management skills, organisational skills, ability to use initiative and emotional intelligence. Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is essential and use of any other school data systems would be an advantage although training will be available for the right candidate. The post holder will be supporting the school Business Manager to ensure the smooth running of the school.
