We are looking for a friendly, efficient and highly organised Office Administrator to be the welcoming face and voice of our school. This role is central to ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office, with a particular focus on admissions administration and supporting communication across the school community.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, builds strong relationships and takes pride in delivering excellent administrative support. You will play a key role in supporting pupils, families and staff, helping to create a positive and efficient environment where children can flourish.
Key Responsibilities
As our Office Administrator, you will:
- Welcome pupils, parents, staff and visitors, acting as a professional and friendly first point of contact
- Support nursery admissions processes, including maintaining waiting lists and records
- Maintain accurate pupil records using the school’s management information systems
- Provide general administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the school office
- Manage incoming calls, emails and post, responding to queries appropriately
- Support attendance processes, including communication with families
- Assist with data collection, reporting and statutory returns
- Maintain office systems, including filing, stock management and calendar support
- Support basic financial administration such as recording invoices and handling cash securely
- Ensure all safeguarding, security and confidentiality procedures are followed at all times
- Contribute to a well-organised, safe and welcoming school environment

- Have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be confident using Microsoft Office and administrative systems
- Be reliable, discreet and able to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Enjoy working both independently and as part of a supportive team
- Be proactive, flexible and solution-focused in a busy environment
- Have a strong understanding of safeguarding, data protection and professional responsibilities
- Be committed to continuous learning and personal development
Experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential—we welcome applicants with transferable skills and a passion for working in education.
