Location: Astrea Academy Sheffield
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks per year

Astrea Academy Sheffield is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Office Manager to join our hardworking and supportive team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of our school and make a real difference in the lives of our scholars.

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a busy administrative role, ideally within a school setting.
  • Knowledge of school systems and a variety of IT platforms.
  • A professional approach to handling confidential and sensitive information in line with GDPR principles.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the school office to ensure efficiency and professionalism.
  • Manage and support the administrative team, including delegation of tasks and performance monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate pupil records and ensure timely completion of statutory returns.
  • Handle confidential information in line with GDPR and safeguarding policies.
  • Coordinate communication between staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Support school leadership with administrative tasks, diary management, and meeting coordination.
  • Monitor and manage office supplies, procurement, and budget tracking.
  • Supervise reception duties, ensuring a welcoming and professional front-of-house service.
  • Assist with HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, and staff absence reporting.
  • Ensure the effective use of school systems such as SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom.
  • Organise school events, meetings, and correspondence.
  • Promote a positive and collaborative working environment within the office team.
