Location: Barnhill Community High School
Salary: £39,795 (NJC Point 33)
Contract Type: Part -time, permanent
Working Weeks: Term time only plus 5 Inset days (39 weeks per year)
Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 4pm

Staff Wellbeing: We have a very well thought of staff wellbeing that focusses on allowing staff to concentrate on their work without unnecessary impediment. In addition to this there is a range of supportive measures such marking from home, wellbeing events and staff celebrations.
The Role: The Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of the school office ensuring efficiency, organisation, and compliance with school policies. This role requires strong leadership, excellent IT and communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the reception and administration teams, ensuring that the school is supported with effective and timely administration and ensuring the reception area is welcoming and efficient to both on site visitors, telephone enquiries and virtual queries
- Performance manage the admin team and other support staff to ensure they carry out their duties to the highest standard.
- Ensure reception is always covered during the working day with a rotating 07:30 start time between the team.
- Manage the telephone and email school communications systems. This will require you to work with the PA to the HT and SLT who oversees the online parents’ communication platform.

- Previous experience in an office management role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
