We are seeking an exceptional Office Manager to join our dedicated team at Loxley Hall School. We believe in creating an inclusive, supportive learning experience that encourages growth, resilience, and achievement for every student. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a lead role in managing and developing the administrative systems that keep our school running smoothly – and to do so in a supportive environment where no two days are the same.
About the RoleAs our Office Manager, you will be at the heart of the school’s operations. You’ll lead a small team, ensure our administrative systems are efficient, and support with HR and financial procedures. You’ll also work closely with staff, pupils, families, and external stakeholders – so great communication and relationship-building skills are essential.
This role includes:
-
Overseeing day-to-day office operations and administrative support
-
Managing school communication, records, and reception services
-
Line managing support staff and organising their work
-
Coordinating school events and key data reporting
-
Supporting financial and HR systems including payroll and budgets
-
Promoting the welfare and safeguarding of our students at all times
We are looking for someone who:
-
Has experience managing administrative systems and staff
-
Has excellent ICT, numeracy, literacy, and organisational skills
-
Is calm under pressure and thrives in a fast-paced environment
-
Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding
-
Is passionate about working in a school with vulnerable or high-needs learners
You should also hold a relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Business/Admin or equivalent experience) or be willing to work towards this qualification.
Experience working in a school or education setting is desirable – but not essential if you can demonstrate transferable skills and a commitment to our ethos.
