Office Manager job summary
Stockland Green School is seeking to appoint a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the school office and provide high-quality administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced member of staff to take on a key operational role within the school and contribute to the smooth and effective running of our administrative services.
37 hours per week, term time only plus two weeks.
The Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management of the school’s administrative functions while acting as a central point of coordination between staff, students, parents and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will also provide dedicated administrative and organisational support to the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring that school priorities and operational activities are effectively supported.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the daily operations of the school office, ensuring a professional, efficient and welcoming service.
Line manage and support members of the administrative team where appropriate.
Provide high-level administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, including diary management, meeting coordination and preparation of documentation.
Ensure effective communication between the school office, staff, parents and external partners.
Support the organisation and administration of school events, meetings and key operational activities.
Maintain and oversee accurate school records, data management and compliance with school policies and procedures.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative processes and systems.
Ensure that the office environment reflects the school’s commitment to professionalism, safeguarding and excellent service.
What you'll need to succeed
Has strong organisational and administrative skills.
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Has experience working within a busy administrative environment (school experience desirable).
Is able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
Shows initiative, discretion and professionalism when supporting senior staff.
Is committed to supporting the values and ethos of the school.
