We are seeking to appoint an organised, proactive and personable Operations Assistant - Sixth Form to join our thriving and ambitious secondary school. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our successful Sixth Form provision.
As a large secondary school with a vibrant Sixth Form community, we pride ourselves on high standards, excellent student support and strong academic outcomes. The successful candidate will be central to ensuring our students, staff and visitors experience an efficient, professional and welcoming environment.
The Role
The Sixth Form Operations Assistant will provide high-quality administrative and operational support across all aspects of Sixth Form life. Duties may include:
- Supporting the daily administration of the Sixth Form office
- Acting as a first point of contact for students, parents and visitors
- Monitoring attendance, punctuality and student records
- Assisting with timetables, examinations and enrolment processes
- Coordinating events such as open evenings, interviews and enrichment activities
- Supporting communication with students, families and external partners
- Maintaining accurate data systems and records
- Working closely with the Director of Sixth Form, BEST Lead - Sixth Form and wider pastoral team
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, professional and approachable manner
- Experience of working in a busy office or educational setting (desirable)
- Good IT skills
- The ability to manage priorities effectively and work independently
- A genuine commitment to supporting young people to succeed
