Kingfisher Primaryhave an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our motivated, supportive team. We are looking for somebody with commitment, energy and expertise to work closely with staff to ensure that our children achieve their very best.

Kingfisher Primary, is a larger than average primary school based in Doncaster, easily accessible from the M18/A1 motorway network. We serve pupils with an age range of 3-11 years in an increasingly diverse community. Kingfisher Primary place children and their wellbeing at the heart of its work. 

We are on a journey of improvement - attendance is improving, the proportion of pupils making expected and greater than expected progress in reading, writing and maths is improving and we are looking for creative and inspirational staff to join us. 

We are a two-form entry primary serving an increasingly diverse local community.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, dynamic, up for a challenge, determined and wants to have a positive impact on the lives of children. You will be organised, able to use your initiative, work with a range of stakeholders, including our families, and get on well with everyone!

This role will support the invaluable work delivered by the team at Kingfisher Primary and is directly linked to the priorities of the school for the children and families we serve. It is a crucial role in providing high quality business support administration to ensure the smooth running of the school.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has experience of providing administrative support in a busy office environment and line managing a team.
  • Has excellent IT skills, with the confidence to use Microsoft programmes such as Excel and learn new school systems and processes.
  • Passionately believes that all children can achieve, no matter what their starting point, background or needs.
  • Can work autonomously, prioritise conflicting demands whilst managing a broad and demanding workload.
  • Is highly organised, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of contacts effectively and professionally.
  • Is proactive and flexible and approaches challenges pragmatically to ensure the best outcome for children, families, and the wider academy team.
  • Can pay attention to detail and utilise systems and data to find the best way to successfully support projects and tasks, whilst working in conjunction with the Senior Leaders of the school and Astrea Regional Operations Manager.

Kingfisher is a fantastic academy that places great importance on the success of its pupils. Children are assessed regularly and effective support ensures children make progress. An innovative curriculum has been designed to ensure that children take part in exciting lessons and that they play an active part in their own learning. A number of extra curricular clubs ensure that children have access to a range of enriching activities.

As an academy we love working with parents and have an increasing army of volunteer helpers who support us during the school day. We value the opinions of children in school and they have their own council. The council has regular meetings and discuss a wide range of issues.

Kingfisher is a two form entry academy (420 places) with a 52 place nursery.
