Daventry Hill School is a specialist school which caters for the needs of over 200 pupils from the ages of 4 to 18. Our fantastic pupils have a wide range of needs including PMLD, SLD, MLD and complex learning difficulties; with additional needs such as ASD and SLCN. The school is part of Creating Tomorrow Trust which is a growing Trust supporting schools who believe that children can achieve irrespective of their learning needs.

The school has undertaken a significant transitional phase, recognised by Ofsted, and benefits from a committed Leadership Team with a very clear and strong vision for school improvement. The school achieved great success by winning the SEND School of the Year, Headteacher of the Year and the overall School of the Year at the Northamptonshire Education Awards 2022.

We are seeking to recruit an Outdoor Learning Coordinator to develop and deliver off-site/on-site programmes for identified individuals and groups of individuals. To work within the Pastoral Team and in collaboration with the Leadership Team to further develop, coordinate and assess the impact of the extended curriculum provision across the school. We welcome candidates with the suitable experience, motivation and commitment to apply for the role.

This role would enable the successful candidate to be part of our fantastic school and give them the opportunity make real differences to the lives of our wonderful young people.

Are you:

Positive and passionate about working with students with learning disabilities;

A good or outstanding practitioner with experience of supporting young people with communication difficulties;

A reflective practitioner;

A team player who can work as part of the multi-disciplinary team;

Able to motivate and lead by example

Knowledgeable about the learning needs of students with a range of barriers to overcome;
