Outreach Teacher job summary
The Ambition Community Trust is seeking a dynamic and passionate Outreach Teacher to join Meade Hill School, to work with pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. This role focuses on supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
The successful candidate will lead outreach provision at Meade Hill School and work collaboratively with specialists across the Trust. We are looking for someone committed to making a real difference, setting appropriate challenges for all abilities across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
As Meade Hill is a small school, there may also be opportunities to teach other subjects.
This role is open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and we welcome applications from those at the beginning of their teaching journey. Full support and mentorship will be provided as part of our commitment to professional development.
Skills & Expertise
- Ability to deliver tailored learning experiences across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, adapting content to meet the needs of pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
- Strong understanding of assessment and progress tracking, using this to inform interventions and improve outcomes for learners in outreach settings.
- Creativity in designing high-interest, engaging activities that make learning meaningful and accessible for pupils outside the traditional classroom environment.
- Commitment to high-quality planning, preparation, and feedback, ensuring consistency and impact across outreach provision.
- Capacity to work collaboratively with schools, families, and external agencies, building positive relationships to support pupil engagement and reintegration.
