Essential:
Qualified Teacher Status
Commitment to continuing professional learning
Well written and well-presented application that addresses the requirements of the post.
Commitment to raising student achievement across the whole ability and behavioural range.
Successful experience of teaching the relevant subject. (Could be on teaching practice.)
A commitment to promoting and developing cross curricular themes, PLTS and SMSC through lessons, in line with college policies.
A commitment to leading extra-curricular activities as part of the department team offer.
Good/Outstanding teaching and pastoral skills.
Good/outstanding behaviour management skills.
A commitment to developing own craft as a teacher, including observing others and being observed, participating in coaching activities etc
A commitment to seeking student views and encouraging them to be active partners in the learning process, and within school life.
Have the ability to teach across the full range of core PE
Have experience of teaching Examination PE courses
Excellent attendance and punctuality record.
Appearance to inspire confidence in community and students
Desirable:
Degree or equivalent in the relevant subject
Successful experience of using ICT to support learning in PE.
Successful experience of leading extra-curricular activities within a school context
Evidence of reflecting on own teaching and developing own craft as a teacher.
Evidence of successfully delivering outstanding lessons in a range of PE areas
