PA to Principal and Executive Principal job summary

This pivotal role involves managing the diaries of the Principal and Executive Principal, handling correspondence, preparing documents, and liaising confidently with staff, students, parents and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be discreet, efficient, and proactive, with excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced school environment.

This is a permanent contract, working 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year.

Charnwood College is an oversubscribed 11 to 18 school, which has seen significant improvements over the last five years. The most recent Ofsted inspection rated the school as Good in all areas stating that ‘Pupils at Charnwood College experience a culture of respect and positivity’ and that ‘Leaders have established an inclusive and calm environment in which pupils can learn’. Staff and students follow ‘The Charnwood Way’, to create a positive, learning culture in which all students are immersed. The spacious, well-maintained site offers excellent facilities over 40 acres. We have dedicated areas for a variety of sports, the arts and technology subjects.

We are proud of our ambitious, knowledge-rich curriculum providing broad and balanced opportunities for our students. Charnwood College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, 11-18 academy with sixth form, situated in the west of Loughborough in Leicestershire. The academy is part of the David Ross Education Trust and is governed by a Local Governing Body.

The secondary academy has expressive arts facilities which include a dedicated music suite and dance and drama studio.
