Part-time 0.6FTE maternity cover Year 2 class teacher job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a teacher to join our excellent team of friendly teachers here at Irchester Community Primary School.
We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, imagination and commitment to providing the best quality education for all children. You will be undertaking a job-share with an experienced teacher in Year 2 and will work alongside a full-time partner teacher in the other Year 2 class. All the Year 2 teachers will have joint PPA time on a Wednesday afternoon. You will have the support of a highly trained full time teaching assistant, who will be with the class all week.
The position is a part time (0.6 FTE) maternity cover to work with a very happy, hardworking and well-behaved class of Year 2 children. We hope the successful candidate will start work on Monday 31st October 2022 and be able to come in for some transition time before the October half-term holiday

Irchester Community Primary School is a two-form entry primary school with a 'Good' Ofsted rating (2018), on a spacious site two miles south of Wellingborough.
The school has developed a reputation as a centre of excellence for teaching primary science. We are unique in Northamptonshire having a fulltime scientist in residence in our very own lab, known as Lab 13.
We have achieved Master School Status for the teaching of Accelerated Reading.
In our extensive grounds we run forest school style activities and have access to the Country Park. We are a founder member of the local Nene Valley Partnership multi-academy trust of four local schools.
