New College Durham Academies Trust are seeking to appoint an efficient Administration Assistant to join the Administration team at Catchgate Primary School.
A rare and highly sought after position has become available within our very busy school office starting in January 2025.
The successful candidate will support the operation and management of school office services, working on the front desk in the school reception.
Working under the direction of the Head Teacher and School Business Manager (SBM) the Administration Assistant will work alongside the Administration Officer carrying out the following duties:
- School meals administration
- Supporting children with Medical conditions
- Clerical duties including typing, filing, photocopying
- Maintaining school website and Social Media platforms
- Diary management
- Maintaining lines of communication with all school stakeholders
- Reprographics
- Support the Admin Officer with pupil attendance
The essential skills required to fulfil the role are:
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent time keeping skills, in line with being able to manage their own workload
- The flexibility to adapt to change
- Be able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Outstanding organisation skills
- Has a keen eye for attention to detail
The ability to integrate into a large organisation fostering and adopting the school aims and values is key to the role. Closing date 6th January 2024.
