Our Opportunity

We are looking to appoint into the important post of Caretaker based at our school. As a member of our support staff you will provide a highly effective caretaking service to ensure our school site is safe, secure and hygienic to all students, staff and visitors.

You will be supported in the role by our Trust’s Facilities Manager who oversees other schools within the Coast and Vale Trust.

Hours are worked on rotation with other members of the site team, covering 6.30am - 9.30pm Monday to Friday. There is flexibility to the working hours during school holiday periods due to the nature of the role, driven by the needs of the school.

What you will need to succeed:

• An understanding and awareness of health and safety.
• Experience of undertaking general caretaking and general cleaning duties.
• Excellent organisation and team working skills.
• Experience of working with young people, parents and the community.

Our Trust

Coast and Vale Learning Trust is a growing family of schools located on the beautiful Yorkshire Coast. The Trust was founded by Scalby Secondary School but has grown over the last few years to include Newby and Scalby Primary School, Friarage Community Primary School and Scarborough University Technical College (SUTC) in Scarborough and Lady Lumley’s Secondary School in Pickering.
