What skills and experience we're looking for

Ideally you will have experience of working with and assisting customers, an understanding of maintaining security, as well as be able to use various pieces of equipment and always maintaining the required records. You will be reliable, friendly and have a desire to learn and be comfortable working on your own, as well as part of a team. You will have an interest in completing practical tasks, and flexibility to work at either of our two locations.

If you are a student, or retired, this role offers great flexibility with working hours, including various shifts across weekday evenings, weekends and some week days, all agreed regularly in advance and can potentially fit around other commitments.

The Vale Federation is a federation of schools in Aylesbury incorporating Booker Park Primary Special School and Stocklake Park Secondary Special school. We strive to deliver the best possible learning experience for all our pupils, as a team, incorporating teaching, support and specialist professionals to make this happen and our facilities are key and central to this. Our Booker Park School currently educates 239 pupils and Stocklake Park School 103 pupils, including a Sixth Form.

To manage the Federation Facilities during the hiring periods, including managing customers and their access, as well as completing the required upkeep/presentation schedules of the hiring areas and minor maintenance tasks.

Part of the Vale Federation of Schools, Stocklake Park Secondary School is a special school which caters for students who have moderate to severe learning difficulties. There are currently 100 students at the main site. The school follows a primary model and is designed to meet individual educational needs and develop social and personal skills. The curriculum is organised to give students the opportunity to experience and explore different subjects. We provide high quality education and care and students have access to a range of therapies, multi-agency professionals and a team of therapists who support students’ needs. We offer an excellent training package for staff together with a fantastic opportunity to become part of an innovative and forward thinking team who are providing a therapeutic and unique learning environment for its pupils. All students have access to swimming at our primary site, a rebound centre and purpose built outdoor spaces including a MUGA (multi use games area) and playground equipment.
