Job Title: Part-Time Catering Assistant
Location: Newbrough C of E Primary School
Hours: 2.5 hours per day, 9:00am – 11:30am, Term Time Only (Fixed-term until August, with a view to being permanent)
Salary: £6,668.72 per annum
Salary Band: Band 1, Scale 2

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our friendly team.

In this role, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals to our pupils, maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, and support the smooth running of daily school lunches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and serving of food and drinks

  • Help set up and clear away the dining area

  • Wash dishes and maintain general cleanliness of the kitchen

  • Ensure hygiene and health & safety standards are met

  • Work effectively as part of a small team

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is friendly, punctual, and trustworthy

  • Has good communication and teamwork skills

  • Can follow instructions and work independently

  • Is committed to creating a positive mealtime experience for children

Experience in a catering or kitchen environment is helpful but not essential, as training will be provided.
