The successful candidate will:
- Teach a Year 5 class for two days per week (days to be agreed).
- • Work collaboratively with the class teacher, including shared responsibility for planning, marking and assessment.
- • Be well organised and able to manage a shared class effectively, ensuring strong communication and continuity for pupils.
- • Be a positive team player, willing to contribute to and support the wider life of the school.
- • Have high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
- • Build positive relationships with children, staff, parents and governors.
- • Work effectively as part of a dedicated and supportive staff team.
What the school offers its staff
The Headteacher and Governing Body of St Luke’s Church of England Primary School are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and enthusiastic part-time teacher (2 days per week) to join our welcoming and committed team.
This is a new role created to support the developing leadership structure of the school, enabling our Deputy Headteacher/SENDCo to have additional time to fulfil their leadership and inclusion responsibilities. The successful candidate will teach Year 5 for two days per week, working in partnership with the class teacher to provide high-quality teaching and learning for our pupils.
This position is temporary until August 2027 in the first instance, with the possibility of continuing beyond this date.
