- Part time: 0.4fte from 06.05.25-17.08.25 0.8fte from 18.08.25-17.10.25 A full-time teacher is required to work for 195 days in any year, and be present in college during college hours (normally 8.30 am to 4.15 pm). You are expected to attend a weekly departmental meeting which will take place outside the core day.

- £12,200 to £18,853 per annum for a 0.4fte post and £24,400 to £37,706 per annum for a 0.8fte post

This is a part-time fixed term position commencing 6th May 2025 until 17th October 2025. It is 0.4fte from 6th May 2025 and 0.8fte from 18th August 2025 until the end of the contract. Details of the salary can be found on the job role information document.
Blackpool Sixth is an outstanding college specialising in 16-19 education. Due to the maternity leave of one of our A Level Law teachers, we have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Law Teacher to join our team. The post is well suited to you if you are either looking for your first steps into teaching or if you are a more experienced teacher looking to work in a thriving and supportive workplace.
Based in the Humanities department you will work closely with colleagues to support your students to achieve their ambitions. The Humanities department is a friendly, ambitious and committed team aiming to achieve the highest outcomes for its students. Collectively, the department delivers A level qualifications in Ancient History, Geography, Government and Politics, Law, Modern History and Religious Studies. We are very proud of the focus we all share on delivering engaging lessons and educating the whole student.
A day in humanities could see you:
working collaboratively with others in the department on schemes of work and resources
providing academic support for students
inspiring students to achieve highly in their law course
taking part in department learning and development to share and evolve teaching skills
