Part time Level 2 Teaching Assistant job summary
We are seeking to appoint, as soon as possible, a temporary Level 2 Teaching Assistant at St Michael's CE Primary School to initially support a child 1:1 within EYFS. This is initially for 15 hours per week (mornings).
St Michael's CE is part of the Birmingham Diocesan Multi Academy Trust. We are a two form entry school with Nursery located in Bartley Green, in south Birmingham. We have close links with the local church, secondary schools and the university in the area.
The successful candidate will ideally be a practising Christian and is in sympathy with the ethos of a Church school.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- Knowledge and experience of supporting children in the classroom and delivering a graduated approach of support at universal level
- Experience of supporting children with additional needs and be able to report on the specific impact of the support
- Have good English, Maths and communication skills
- A good standard of spoken English in order to be a role model to the children you are supporting
