We are seeking a Premises Assistant to join our team, primarily based at our Greenwich Peninsula all-through campus—a modern facility opened in November 2018. There may also be occasional requirements to work across our additional campuses in East Greenwich and Woolwich.

The Role
Working under the direction of the Federation Facilities Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our school site is safe, welcoming, and well-maintained.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining school buildings and grounds to a high standard
- Supporting site security and health & safety compliance
- Assisting with cleaning and general upkeep
- Supporting lettings and contractor management
- Helping ensure a positive environment for pupils, staff, and visitors
The right person for this job will have:
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with pupils, staff, parents/carers, drivers, contractors, delivery drivers and members of the public
- A range of skills in general maintenance and repair work to carry out various site maintenance duties for both the buildings and grounds
- A full, clean valid driving licence is preferred but not essential
- The ability to work with minimum supervision or as part of a team and also work under pressure
- A conscientious and flexible approach to work
- Preferably, previous experience of premises work in schools and health and safety
As this role will involve contact with children we will take up at least two references before interview asking about your suitability to work with children. Any job offer will be conditional on you having a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service Criminal Records Check and Barred List Check, having the legal right to work in the UK and having satisfactory overseas criminal records checks if deemed necessary.

St Mary Magdalene C of E School is a co-educational, all-through school based in Greenwich, south-east London. The school has both primary and secondary phases. The secondary phase has approximately 560 students aged 11-18 and 80 staff.
