We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Primary Teacher to join our team, working with KS3 students. The role involves delivering a broad and balanced KS2 curriculum, with a particular focus on mathematics, to support and secure the best possible outcomes for our learners. Ramsden Hall Academy is proud to hold a Good Ofsted rating, while our residential provision is recognised as Outstanding. As a Residential Special School, we cater for boys aged 10 to 16 who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) for Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.The purpose of the post is to secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and ensure improved standards of learning and achievement for all students. The post holder will ensure a cohesive and personalised programme of learning activities, in line with the national curriculum. The post holder will also have some pastoral responsibility and strive to ensure strong parent/carer relationships and have strong communication skills.
The post holder will support the senior leadership team (SLT) in raising standards and improving outcomes for learners, through the provision of high quality professional services across the school.
If you are Qualified teacher who is passionate about working with students with SEMH difficulties and can see the potential in all learners, then we would love to hear from you. A sense of humour is essential, and understanding of attachment, trauma based approaches and social development will be an advantage. Experience of the primary curriculum is essential.

Ramsden Hall Academy works with over 100 secondary-age and Year 6 male students who have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) for Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs offering a residential provision.
The Academy aims to support all students with their specific needs and barriers to learning to enable them to reach their full potential both academically and in terms of managing their behaviour. This is achieved by providing high quality teaching and learning and by using assessment, engagement and developing educational programmes. The Academy works actively with students and their parents/carers to ensure positive outcomes for all.
