Part Time Receptionist job summary
The Role
Term-time only + Inset Days, Thursday & Friday 8am to 5pm
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our school, you will help create a welcoming and warm environment for students, parents, staff and visitors. We are seeking someone who can build positive relationships, communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders and represent the school with professionalism at all times. This role sits at the heart of our community and we are looking for someone who will live by our school values in everything they do.
The Ideal Candidate will
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting and empowering young people.
- Be friendly, welcoming, and able to build positive, trusting relationships with students, families, colleagues and visitors.
- Be exceptionally well organised, with the ability to manage attendance processes, respond to enquiries, and handle day‑to‑day administrative duties with efficiency.
- Remains calm, composed and professional during busy times such as morning drop‑off, urgent situations, or safeguarding concerns.
- Be dependable and discreet, upholding confidentiality at all times and contributing to the effective running of the school office.
- Show initiative, adaptability, and a flexible approach to meeting the evolving needs of the school.
- Understand the vital role of safeguarding and is committed to promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.
