Solihull Alternative Provision Academy, part of the Solihull Alternative Provision Multi Academy Trust (SAPMAT) is an alternative provision where we provide innovative solutions for a number of students for whom mainstream education is simply not working (for a range of reasons). In our short lifetime thus far we have grown considerably and continue to expand as our provision evolves.

We are looking for a School Cleaner & Catering Assistant.

Location: Saturn Centre, Hurst Ln N, Birmingham B36 0HD.

Working hours: 12 noon - 2:30 pm Monday to Friday (term time only plus INSET)

Main duties and responsibilities: As a school cleaner (7.5 hours per week)

• Be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the centre including toilet and cloakroom areas, classrooms, group rooms, media suite, staff room, meeting rooms, library area, corridors, stairs.
• Take initiative to perform cleaning and tidying tasks that are not specifically contained within the rota but require attention as part of maintaining overall high standards.
• Report cleaning supplies requirements and stock levels to the Site team.
• Ensure Health & Safety, quality and general procedure compliance.
• Work as part of a team and support other members of the staff to meet standards and school objectives .

As a catering assistant (5 hours per week)

• Collecting food from the junior school next to the Centre
• Put the food on hot plate and serve meals during lunch time
