What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors of Holy Trinity School wish to appoint to the post of Part Time Teacher of Performing Arts (0.8), specialising in Drama. This post presents a good opportunity for an early career teacher or established practitioner to join a successful department, and to develop their career in a good school.
Applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to the teaching of Drama at GCSE and Performing Arts at KS5. We require practitioners who have the enthusiasm, skill and ability to make a positive contribution to this motivated and successful team. The successful candidate will be committed to teaching across the 11-18 range. Experience of, or the potential to teach Cambridge Technicals Performing Arts at KS5 is desirable, as is a commitment to extra-curricular Drama and Performing Arts. We require a candidate who:
- Has high expectations of students, and is committed to maximising rates of progress
- Is able to teach Drama successfully across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Is enthusiastic, innovative and shares good practise
- Has the ability to teach KS5 Performing Arts
Time tables are always created to maximise the specialisms of the professional but there may be occasions where you are required to teach an additional subject to your primary and secondary subjects across ages 11 to 18. Relevant support will be offered.
