What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a dynamic, committed and enthusiastic teacher of Girls’ PE for 2 days per week.

The Faculty has its own purpose-built Sports Hall and Gym, as well as having extensive outside sports pitches/courts. School sport is well-resourced and we have a track record of success with students of all abilities.

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic person who:

  • is an inspirational teacher with high expectations;
  • will be able to teach all aspects of a broad PE Curriculum;
  • will be able to teach BTEC Sport;
  • is willing to make a major contribution to the PE Faculty.

This is a tremendous opportunity for an ambitious and motivated teacher to join an excellent faculty. Applications are welcome from experienced teachers and ECTs with a full support programme offered.

Salary: Teachers’ Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale – dependent on qualification and relevant experience.

We also have the professional support staff vacancy of Cover Supervisor which the school requires to be worked alongside/in conjunction with the post of Teacher of Girls’ PE. A Cover Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of students during lessons in the absence of the teacher including explaining the work set by the teacher to the students, taking class registers, ensuring seating plans are adhered to along with high standards of punctuality, personal appearance and behaviour in the classroom.

For this post there will be a requirement to undertake a lunchtime supervision role and undertake a First Aid course as set by the school, renewing the qualification/training as required.

The hours of work would be: 8.30am – 3.10pm, 3 days per week (Term time, including INSET days)

Salary: Grade G point 8 – 20, £22,777 – £28,371 pro rata. Actual salary per annum is £9,905.88 – £12,338.75.
