Part-Time Teacher of Science (0.6) - Full-Time Potential with Head of Year Role

Contract: Permanent from September 1st, 2026
Location: Alcester Grammar School, Alcester

This is a part-time (FTE0.6) position with the potential to become full-time if combined with a Head of Year role. We welcome applicants with a Biology, Chemistry, or Physics specialism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (with a focus on your specialism).
  • Contribute to the school’s wider goals and vision.
  • Help drive the success of our Science department with innovative teaching practices.
  • Support the development of students, including those with SEND.

The Department:
Science is a vibrant, growing area at AGS, with 62% of GCSE Science students achieving grades 7-9, and strong A-Level results. Our state-of-the-art laboratories and experienced technicians ensure that practical work is at the heart of our teaching. Teamwork and collaboration are essential, and you will be supported by excellent colleagues.

  • A qualified teacher with a specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
  • Passionate about Science and inspiring students.
