Partnership Learning Support Assistant - Range 3

The partnership model is a first of its kind for Buckinghamshire. It's a partnership between the Amersham School and Stony Dean School, both schools are successful in their own rights and are looking to offer something different for the pupils of Buckinghamshire. The pupils on the Partnership model will have an EHCP and will require a level of support to access a mainstream school. Learners will be fully included in lessons in the Amersham School. The Partnership Learning Support Assistant will provide the support to overcome and remove barriers to learning to make it successful.

The role is to support the social, emotional and learning needs of individual pupils identified on the partnership model. You will work in collaboration with the Partnership model teacher and teachers from Amersham School to provide individual support/strategies for students with a range of SEN and in other areas where requested. We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant with excellent interpersonal skills and inspirational character. You will work closely with the Partnership Lead teacher to enhance the learning experience of a small group of students in a classroom setting as well as being confident leading small group activities.

If you are a team player, who is compassionate and committed to equality and care for children we would love to hear from you. You should have IT skills (Microsoft Office suite, learning technologies), together with experience of working with SEN (ASD, MLD, ADD/ADHD, etc). A degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, Linguistics) is desirable but not essential.

This role is based at Amersham School.
