We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Pastoral Assistant to join our supportive pastoral team. This is a rewarding role where you will make a real difference to pupils’ lives every day, helping them to feel safe, regulated, included and ready to learn.
About the Role
You will support our relational, therapeutic approach to behaviour—working closely with pupils, staff and families to promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and strong relationships.
You will:
- Support pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
- Help staff manage behaviour using calm, consistent and restorative approaches
- Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions (e.g. ELSA, Zones of Regulation)
- Support reintegration after suspension or time away from school
- Contribute to safeguarding as a Deputy DSL (DDSL)
- Work with families and external agencies to remove barriers to learning
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive school culture
