BAND E, POINT 1 TO 2 (£31,067 TO £31,586 FTE, £26,602.64 TO £27,047.06 PRO RATA)
37 HOURS PER WEEK
This role is to enable all pupils to engage in education by providing leadership and support around student welfare, behavioural and attendance issues. This will involve working with staff, parents/carers and pupils to address barriers to learning and make sure effective policies and procedures are in place.
The successful candidate will:
- Share good practice and understanding of students in school working with colleagues to develop strategies to manage behavioural difficulties
- Working in conjunction with and often in the absence of the teaching Head of Year, oversee and monitor the behaviour, learning and progress of students across a number of year group
- Under direction of Associate Assistant Headteacher, liaise with external agencies and professionals as required, to cater for pupils’ individual needs
- Maintain accurate records of interventions and relevant meetings, and complete paperwork required by external agencies
- Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
