What Ofsted says about Abbotsweld Primary Academy:

“Teachers and teaching assistants work closely together. They plan a good range of learning opportunities for children, covering all the areas of the early years curriculum. The environment, both indoors and outdoors, is attractive and interesting for young children. For example, children are provided with physical activities that give them the opportunity to learn to manage risks safely.”

“The executive headteacher has made an enormous contribution to the improvements in this school and uses the ‘fire in her belly’ and her very high aspirations to continually and doggedly pursue excellence in every aspect of school life. The executive headteacher has a very clear vision for the future development of the school, based on a thorough understanding of what works in education and how children learn.”

“High aspiration pervades leadership at all levels at Abbotsweld. Some leaders ‘belong’ to the school, while others ‘belong’ to the hub. This makes no difference. The vision and the passion to provide the best possible education remain the same. The school has improved enormously and continues to improve rapidly as a result.”

“Pupils behave very well, both in their lessons and during less-structured parts of the day. A consistent approach by all staff means that pupils always know what is expected of them.”

“The school benefits from working collaboratively with the other schools in its ‘hub’. The shared lead practitioners have a clear impact on improving the quality of teaching.”

“The school’s culture of continual development means that teaching is always improving. Teachers are given excellent opportunities to develop their own practice.”

“Chloe is loving the additional hours at school and often likes to do after school clubs.”

“My son's concentration and learning has sky rocketed because of the extended school day."

“Maximising learning time benefits my child's education & also allows me to work longer hours. It's an excellent way of preparing our children for their next education steps."

What our staff says about our Abbotsweld Primary Academy:

“The academy allows me to be part of something larger that makes a difference.”

“I very much enjoy working for the academy, because I feel supported, valued and work with a great group of people.”

“I enjoy working for NET as it constantly evolves to ensure we are at the forefront of educational change. Staff are given lots of opportunities to develop through continued professional development and by being part of innovative working parties. In turn this creates a wonderful environment for the children in our care.”

“It's great to work for an academy trust that actively promotes staff sharing good practice and building strong relationships between their schools to achieve the best for not just the children but for staff also.”
