Pastoral Lead - EYFS Service Pupils job summary

We are seeking a committed and compassionate Pastoral Lead to support EYFS services pupils across our Trust on a temporary contract for 2 years.

Working under the direction of the Head of Inclusion and accountable to the Director of Education, the post holder will support the welfare, wellbeing and development of EYFS pupils, helping them overcome barriers to learning and thrive socially and emotionally.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building positive relationships with EYFS pupils and their families

  • Supporting pupils’ wellbeing, attendance and engagement

  • Acting as an advocate for EYFS pupils across schools

  • Working closely with teachers, SENDCo, DSL and external agencies

  • Supporting families with referrals, guidance and signposting

  • Delivering pastoral interventions and promoting positive outcomes

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience working with young children and families, ideally within EYFS

  • Be confident working collaboratively across schools and agencies

  • Have strong communication, organisation and pastoral skills

  • Be committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice

The role may involve occasional work outside normal hours with notice. An enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training are required.
