Our ideal candidate will have experience with working with pupils with a diagnosis of Autism and associated social and emotional needs and recognises the importance of adopting an emotion coaching approach to support our pupils to develop strategies to thrive and enable them to regulate their own emotions.
At High Point we have two curriculum pathways “Connectors” and “Developers”. Students on our Developer pathway typically are working at least 3 years below age related expectations and their formal curriculum is focussed around developing independence life and functional skills. Our Students on our Connector pathway are working at 2 years below age related up to age related expectations.
You will respond to meet the individual needs of our students and help them to build strategies to minimise the barriers to their learning; enabling them to prepare for adult life both educationally and emotionally.
