Are you ready to make a real difference to sixth form students at a key stage in their education

and future lives? We are looking for a dynamic, proactive and student-centred Pastoral Manager

to help drive high standards of behaviour, attendance, punctuality and engagement across Key

Stage 5.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a visible and influential role in our growing sixth form.

Working closely with students, parents, carers, tutors, senior leaders, the safeguarding team and

external agencies, you will help create a culture where students feel supported, challenged and

motivated to succeed.

You will be at the heart of our work to remove barriers to success. Using attendance, punctuality,

behaviour and intervention data, you will spot concerns early, put the right support in place and

work with students to develop the habits, confidence and resilience they need to thrive in sixth

form and beyond.

The role also offers the chance to support students as they plan their next steps. You will

contribute to our UCAS and post-18 progression work, helping students to meet deadlines, shape

strong applications and explore routes into university, apprenticeships, employment and other

future pathways.

Safeguarding and inclusion sit at the centre of this role. You will act as a key point of contact for

safeguarding concerns within Key Stage 5, respond swiftly and appropriately to emerging issues,

support vulnerable learners and contribute to multi-agency work where required.

We are looking for someone who can build strong, professional relationships with young people

while maintaining clear boundaries and high expectations. You will be organised, resilient and

solution-focused, with the confidence to challenge and support in equal measure and the

judgement to handle sensitive issues with care.

This is a brilliant time to join us. Our sixth form will be in its third year and there is a genuine

opportunity to help shape its culture, systems and future direction. We will support you with

induction, training and development so that you can make a confident and lasting impact.

In return for your experience, commitment and enthusiasm, we can offer you:

The opportunity to be part of our supportive and inclusive Light Hall family;

A rare opportunity to help shape the culture, expectations and success of a developing

sixth form;

Induction, training and ongoing support to help you develop, as well as a range of staff

benefits including local government pension with generous employer contribution and free

employee wellbeing services such as free physiotherapy and chiropractor sessions, GP

consultations for staff and their children 24 hours a day, 7 days a week worldwide and flu

jabs.
