St Nicholas Catholic High School are looking to appoint a patient, enthusiastic and hardworking individual who is looking for a challenging but very rewarding role as a Pastoral Manager.

The role has specific emphasis on creating a positive, inclusive environment where you will be the trusted point of contact for students, parents, colleagues and outside agencies.

Becoming the heart of our student support network, you will directly influence attendance, behaviour, emotional well-being; holding a key role in promoting and enforcing safeguarding processes.

As the ideal candidate, you will:

  • Have the ability to engage constructively with, and build working relationships with, a wide range of young people and their families.
  • Have the ability to work effectively as part of a team with teaching staff and outside agencies
  • Have the experience of supporting students with mental health, social, academic and behavioural difficulties.
  • Have a willingness to manage their own time effectively, work flexibly and use their own initiative.

This is a Permanent, Full Time / Part Year Contract, and is based on 37 hours per week over 39 weeks per year. Grade 7 - SCP17 £31,022 to SCP23 £34,434 per annum Full Time Equivalent - (Actual salary between £26,772 and £29,717 per annum) Pay Award Pending. Work schedule will be 8.30am to 4.30pm with a 30-minute lunch break.

St Nicholas Catholic High School is a mixed catholic secondary school and sixth form for pupils aged 11-18. It is located in Northwich, Cheshire, and caters for approximately 1,250 pupils.

The school opened as a secondary modern in 1965, becoming a comprehensive school in 1972. It is a voluntary-aided school.
