What skills and experience we're looking for

Our Lady & St Paul’s Catholic Primary School is looking to appoint a caring, dedicated and approachable Pastoral Officer to join our school family. This is a rewarding opportunity to support our children’s wellbeing, attendance and personal development within our nurturing Catholic community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted pastoral support to help pupils develop positive behaviour, confidence and a love of learning.
  • Monitor attendance and punctuality, working closely with families and the Local Authority to promote excellent attendance.
  • Develop supportive action plans to help children overcome barriers to learning.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with parents, staff and external agencies to ensure every child feels supported and valued.
  • Support pupils with transition and reintegration following absence.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare relevant correspondence and reports.

The successful candidate will be compassionate, organised and committed to safeguarding, with a genuine desire to help every child thrive in line with our Catholic values.
