Contract: Permanent, 32.5hrs per week, term time only

Thrive Education Partnership is a growing Multi Academy Trust is established in seven special schools across the West Midlands area. An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the Trust in individual schools as a pastoral officer.

Kitts Green Academy opened in September 2021 as a brand-new purpose-built special school, to educate boys aged 6-16 years with complex social emotional, mental health (SEMH) needs.

This postholder will support in the management of pupil incidents and family liaison, maintain accurate Positive Behaviour Plans and Behaviour Analysis Forms (or other forms of behaviour records) and work with others to ensure appropriate plans and strategies are in place to support pupils who have dysregulated or require pastoral support. They will also promote the positive welfare of all pupils and work with colleagues with the aim of removing any barriers to learning.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children in a specialist setting or experience of working with a similar cohort, they will have a good knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures and how to implement these in a school setting and have an ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
