- Build trusted relationships with students, enabling them to feel safe, heard, and supported
- Work closely with families, staff, and external agencies to secure the best outcomes
- Deliver targeted interventions to strengthen emotional wellbeing, resilience, and self-regulation

- Can confidently manage and respond to safeguarding concerns, following procedures with precision
- Builds positive, trusting relationships with students, particularly those who may be vulnerable
- Communicates effectively with staff, families, and external professionals
- Is highly organised and able to maintain accurate, detailed safeguarding records
- Can remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in complex or sensitive situations
- Works proactively as part of a team, sharing information and supporting colleagues
- Has the confidence to challenge where necessary to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students
- Is reflective, resilient, and committed to continuous professional development
