Pastoral Support Manager job summary
We are seeking to appoint a Pastoral Support Manager to work with our Secondary students at Iford Academy, part of Tregonwell Academy. Flexibility may be required to work at our Satellite class.
The main purpose of the role will be to effectively manage all aspects of the child in need/team around the child/child protection processes, arranging meetings with families and agencies, chairing TAC meetings; making accurate records of all events. You will be required to support the social and emotional development of students and reduce the risk of harm. You will support attendance management strategies where attendance and punctuality are a concern and you will be required to support vulnerable students to overcome their barriers to learning and maximise the opportunities provided for them. This role will support all students who may be exhibiting mental health, emotional or social problems (or any other SEND) in school to achieve their full potential. You will work positively with families and other agencies to encourage and engage Parents/Carers in their pupils’ education.
We are looking for candidates who are passionate and ambitious with a drive and commitment to improve the life chances of our young people. You will preferably have experience of working with young people with additional needs including childhood trauma, alongside SEMH and ASC.
