About this Role

The leaders and governors of Chaucer Infant and Nursery School are excited to share with you an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team. We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Pastoral Support Worker who we hope will become a permanent member of our Chaucer family.

What are the details of the post?

We are looking to appoint a Pastoral Support Worker to work 30 hours a week (8:30 - 3:30, with an hour dinner) from Monday to Friday, for 39 weeks a year, in line with term time. The post will initially be for year (to Easter 2027), with a view to having the candidate join us as a permanent member of the team.

When does it start?

We are looking to appoint for a 13th April 2026 start to allow candidates time to notify their current employer and work their notice if they are already in employment. However, if the successful candidate is available, we may be able to offer an earlier start date.
