Pastoral Support Worker job summary

We are seeking to appoint a pro-active, organised, enthusiastic and self-motivated Pastoral Support worker who will work closely with the Head of School. We are looking for an individual who is inspiring, forward thinking and prides themselves in working collaboratively to support children in their learning and wellbeing.

Part of the role involves communicating with families and external agencies and professionals, so good communication skills is key. You will have extensive knowledge of managing safeguarding issues and a strong track record of working with pupils and families.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the school leadership team and teachers, supporting all pupils and being instrumental in their learning journey.

We are looking to appoint a person who:

  • Has significant experience of effective learning support.
  • Has experience of leading and implementing initiatives
  • Can demonstrate good knowledge and understanding of managing safeguarding issues
  • Is pro-active and share our values and high expectations.
  • Has experience of working with or desire to support children with social, emotional and behavioural needs using a therapeutic approach.
  • Has the administrative and organisational skills to provide effective support to senior leaders.
