What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an individual who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of young people to join the team at South Hunsley School and Sixth Form as a Pastoral Support Worker, who will play a vital role insupporting and supervising students with Emotional, Behavioural Learning Difficulties were identified as a need.
The working hours are from 08:30am to 16:30pm Monday to Friday during the school term. You will also be paid for an additional 44.5 hours per year, which enables you to attend team meetings and training and development outside of your normal working hours. Your actual salary will be £23,545.04 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is the summer holidays, you continue to receive the same payment that month. What are we looking for?
We are looking for an individual who is committed to ensuring every individual child receives the care, support and guidance they need to thrive and be the best they can be. The successful applicant will have the following:
- Good standard of education including literacy and numeracy at level 2 (or equivalent) or above.
- ELSA qualification or equivalent to commitment to acquire qualification
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Onedrive
- Experience of working with children with ESBD (Emotional, Challenging and Behavioural difficulties)
- Experience of maintaining students learning records and reports
Experience of Behaviour Management Strategies
