Your opportunity: 

We are looking to recruit a motivated Cover Supervisor and PE Assistant to join our small, hard working Cover team. You will enable students to continue to learn in the absence of their class teacher and provide support in Team PE, including covering lessons and leading sport enrichment activities. The successful candidate will present students with designated tasks, keep good order in lessons and have a passion for sport and PE. You will also be the primary Cover Supervisor for practical PE lessons and support the PE Department in assisting with fixtures, extra-curricular activities and other duties, as directed by the Head of PE. 

This role is particularly well-suited to individuals interested in gaining experience within a school setting, especially those considering a future in teaching. GLF offers a dedicated Teacher Training programme through Inspiring Future Teachers, making this position a valuable stepping stone for anyone looking to pursue a career in education.

Salary: GLF Specialist 1 £27,061 FTE

Actual Salary: £24,250.44

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (3 days 8am – 4.30pm; 2 days 8am - 3.15pm) Term time only
