PE Coach job summary

Inspire the little learners of Harris Junior Academy Carshalton. We are currently looking to appoint a PE Coach to join our thriving academy.

Your opportunity

Your role will be to teach primary-age children the PE curriculum, including dance and gymnastics. You will plan, prepare, deliver and assess a range of CPD lessons, PPA cover, extra-curricular club sessions and other related programmes, all designed to enhance the school’s PE and Sporting culture.

What we are looking for

We look for talented individuals who want to be a part of transforming education in London, and helping create exceptional places of learning. The successful candidate will:

Hold qualifications to GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Be UKCC Level 2 Qualified (or higher) in any sport or appropriate equivalent qualification
Be a qualified HLTA
Have experience of delivering sport coaching sessions to young people aged between 5 and 11 in a school environment

Harris Junior Academy Carshalton opened in September 2013. We are a three-form entry school situated in Carshalton, which is part of the London Borough of Sutton. Our children, aged between 7 and 11 years of age, bring a wonderful amount of energy and enthusiasm to our school.

We have more than 300 lively young minds at our Academy. Our dedicated teachers and support staff build on the children’s learning from the infant school to support each to be the best they can be.
