PE Support Assistant job summary

Crowdys Hill is seeking an inspiring, dedicated Physical Education Learning support Assistant to work across all areas of its 4-19 provision. Crowdys Hill is a dynamic and forward-thinking special school for pupils with moderate learning difficulties and complex needs from across the Borough of Swindon.

We are seeking to employ a positive person, with an adaptive attitude, and a passion to work with children, who will be willing to work in Physical Education across all our provisions, from the Primary to Sixth Form phases. You will be part of a pupil support team and will be integral in supporting the pupils in their lessons, lunchtime activities and intra and inter-school competitions and will involve working with children in PE settings, individually, or in small groups.

You will be part of the Physical Education team and will be integral in supporting pupils in their Physical Development. You will be involved in working with the students in various PE settings, individually, or in small groups.

You must have a clear understanding of the principles of Physical Education, experience in working within this subject and an awareness of how to work safely and effectively with children throughout the PE curriculum.

Under the direction of the subject lead or class teacher you will provide support to individuals or whole classes in all aspects of the lessons to ensure access to their learning environment. You will promote positive behaviours and act as a role model for the pupils.
