We're looking for a dedicated PE Teacher to join our warm, supportive team at Lift Ryde. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented teacher (ECTs and more experienced colleagues are both welcome) to join our Physical Education department from January 2026. We are looking to appoint a teacher who is also able to teach KS3 Science as a second subject however this is desirable, not essential. You will be joining a fun, friendly and enthusiastic team of professionals within the PE department - which is made up of five staff. PE is a popular subject within the school and we have fantastic facilities available including a dance studio, an 3G ASTRO pitch, a grass sports pitch, an indoor sports hall with Olympic standard flooring (set up for badminton, netball, basketball football and trampolining), two outside rec pitches and finally an outdoor courts area set up with netball and basketball courts for warm weather games. We also boast a state of the art gym which staff can use for free after school and Lift Ryde have partnered with the Ryde Lawn Tennis Club who allow us to use their hard court tennis courts, croquet lawns and more excitingly the island's only Padel courts. Targeted students also enjoy weekly swimming lessons. The senior leadership team at Lift Ryde is passionate about staff wellbeing and a healthy work-life balance, so they can offer flexibility on scheduling. For the right candidate, they could potentially offer a full-time role working over four days per week, for those who want to run before and after-school clubs. Every member of staff has PPA either first thing in the morning or the last period of the day so that they can start late or finish early.
