About the Role
As a Teacher of Physical Education, you will be at the heart of delivering a high-quality, engaging PE curriculum to pupils aged 11 to 19, including preparation for GCSE and A-level/BTEC qualifications. You will utilise excellent facilities, such as the Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), to create inspiring and inclusive learning experiences that promote health, wellbeing, and physical development.
You will:
- Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils.
- Foster a positive learning environment that motivates pupils to achieve excellent progress.
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, setting high expectations and providing constructive feedback.
- Support pupils beyond the classroom through extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to curriculum development.
- Act as a form tutor, supporting pupils’ welfare, behaviour, and personal development.
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic PE teacher who:
- Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring pupils in physical education and sports science.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills, creating a safe and supportive environment.
- Embraces inclusivity and differentiation to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with special educational needs.
- Is eager to develop professionally, sharing best practises and engaging actively with ongoing training.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
