PE Technician job summary
The school is part of the Community Schools Alliance Trust - a small MAT with one secondary school, one primary school and another due to open in September 2020. The Trust’s common vision is to improve every learner’s life chances.

For this post we are interested in applicants with a sports and P.E. background, preferably with experience in coaching or with experience as a School Technician. Enthusiasm in working with young people is essential and full training will be given.
Outline of tasks include:
• making the learning environment ready for students
• preparing resources ready for lessons
• ensuring equipment is ready
• undertaking training as necessary
• supporting the teacher in lessons and provide occasional cover for absent teacher
• setting up and close down the ICT equipment being used in lessons
• supporting students independently in the development of their work.
• supporting extra-curricular P.E activities
The post is for 3 days per week (term-time only). It attracts a Grade 5 (Points 5 - 7) with a salary of £9,366.68 – £9,744.94 pro rata (depending on experience).

The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and obtain any other statutorily required clearance. Employment will also be conditional on the receipt of at least two acceptable references (1 from current/latest employer) and evidence of the formal qualifications required for the role.
