PERMANENT POST

BAND B , POINT 1 TO 3 (£24,796 TO £25,583 FTE, £7,357.95 TO £7,591.61 PRO RATA)

Queen Elizabeth Grammar School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and adaptable technician to support the PE curriculum. This is a busy and varied role and candidates should have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

Under the instruction/guidance of senior staff, you will provide assistance and information as required in the preparation of resources, maintenance and support to staff and pupils. You must ensure the requirements are followed meeting both the health and safety standards and the requirements of the classes involved.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Administration support for fixtures and trips
  • Contribute to the enrichment opportunities on offer in these departments by leading extracurricular activities
  • Support students with technical preparation for performance
  • Preparation and maintenance of resources
  • Assistance with internal and external activities such as open evenings, and shows.
  • Where appropriate, support in lessons, under the direction of teachers, to improve teaching and learning experiences in PE so that students make progress
